Retail Store Opening Fall of 2014 at Apples Way
Goodwill® Industries Serving Southeast Nebraska, Inc. Announces New Location
Goodwill Industries Serving Southeast Nebraska, Inc. announced today that the upcoming opening of a new retail and donation center this fall at 6300 Apples Way, next to Graham Time and across the street from Texas Roadhouse. Construction of the new location began in April and is scheduled to be finished at the end of the summer.
The new store at Apples Way will replace the current retail and donation center at the Edgewood Shopping Center, which has been at that location for over 20 years. As the smallest of all of Lincoln’s Goodwill locations, the agency has outgrown the space at Edgewood and was in need of a solution to meet the growing demands of customers and donors alike. “It is difficult to close a store that has been a part of southeast Lincoln for so long. The Edgewood store has very loyal customers and donors, and we think they will enjoy the improvements we are able to bring to Apples Way” said Joanne Pickrel, CEO of Goodwill Industries Serving Southeast Nebraska, Inc. The Apples Way store will be about triple the size of the Edgewood location and make it the largest Goodwill retail and donation center in Lincoln.
The construction of the Apples Way location has also created a need for Goodwill to increase its workforce, resulting in more jobs for the Lincoln area. Goodwill Industries Serving Southeast Nebraska, Inc. is currently looking for individuals to fill additional Team Member and Team Lead positions to fill the demand of a larger location.
